Check out these awesome videos Dia sent through of her teaching us how to play the piano. This was part of Dia's Self Belief GEMS work. You get 5 Dojos Dia.

Morena tamariki ma!
Lots of important information today. Please read them all carefully :)
- Sharing with me (Miss R) today. Not Mrs Howell and not Mrs Turner. They will not be checking their emails today.
- Answer the riddle in the comments (see video to hear riddle). Remember to sign your name so we know who is commenting!
- Google Meet at 10:30 - bring something special from home to share with everyone e.g. a piece of jewellery, your favourite book, a trohpy, your cat! Anything that is special to you.
- Thursday's Google Meet will now be at 1:00, not 1:30.
- Please try to do your learning between 9 am - 3 pm. Try not to share your work outside of these times. You should not be doing your home learning at 9 o'clock at night - you should be in bed!
- Please watch the video below that Mrs Turner posted last week, about how to insert a slide, and highlight and comment on a specific slide when sharing your work with your teacher. Some of you are still not doing this properly.
How to Comment and Add a Slide in Google Slides
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
Congratulations to Indigo for her superb advert (which she also turned into an infomercial). 5 dojos is going out to you Indi.

Happy Wednesday Team 12!
Remember to share your work with Miss Robertson today - katier@sunnyhills.school.nz
Here is today's checklist:
Have I:
- Watched today's blog video?
- Commented on the blog with the answer to the riddle?
- Decided whether to attend today's meeting at 10:30am or tomorrow's meeting at 1:30pm
- Shared some Reading, Writing and Maths with my teacher in the slide in my Inquiry folder?
Have a great day and I'm looking forward to seeing some of you at the meet at 10:30 for our PYJAMA PARTY!!
Today's Riddle: What is the easiest way to double your money?
!!!!!!!WINNERS!!!!!!
Congratulations to Dia and Josh! They are the WINNERS of Tuesday's DOJO POINTS for excellent work. Thank you to everyone who shared... I wonder who it will be today?
- Mrs Turner loved the the way that Dia showed all her working to the word problems by drawing pictures - just like her Spotlight Goal told her to.
- Josh wrote a special acrostic poem about his cat Misty. I like the way he used a different colour for the letters down the side.
Last but not least - here is the picture of the awesome tower you guys made last week at school. It's taller than Gyana! But very messy to clean up after knocking it over...

Dragon Writing from Assembly
Here are the slides we shared in Assembly today.
Remember,
If you hear a verb touch your nose. If you hear an Adjective, touch your head. AND if you are lucky enough to hear a simile - do a bottom boogie!

Autumn Descriptive Writing
A few weeks ago Team 12 went on a nature walk.
We used our senses to talk about what autumn felt like, and collected things that reminded us of autumn.
When we got back to class we worked together to brainstorm and choose adjectives to describe what we had found.
We then started to write a poem about autumn.
Finally we published our work ready for display.
Next time you are in the classroom come and take a look x

Dragon Stories
We have gone Dragon mad in Team 12.
Yesterday Mrs Clyde showed us her dragon 'treasure'.
Even though we didn't have to, some of us made up some really cool stories about how Mrs Clyde came to be in possession of this interesting treasure!!!
Indi wrote one..
Then Alex and Zoe told us theirs orally..
We have been learning about being more descriptive with our Writing. We are learning how to use lots of adjectives.
How many adjectives did you count?

Week 1Post Covid: Back in the Classroom
WOW!
What a week! I am so proud of the GEM's who have bravely stepped though the door this week and got on with our 'new normal'. On Monday we talked a lot about our feelings and it is clear that a lot of us were feeling the same way. Mrs Turner was so excited to be back but also worried about staying safe.
Here is a selection of the work we have got up to this week...
Sharing and shining our lockdown work... how cool is Josh's Rap?
COVID reflections
Dragon Eyes (Art)
Letters to ourselves
We also hope you all LOVE the special certificates we made our families for helping us at home with our learning. We know it wasn't easy sometimes and we REALLY appreciate your help!
Special shout out to those learners still working from home and sending through work. You Rock! - Hopefully we will see you in the flesh next week.
x
